STEVEN'S OBITUARY

Steven Paul Pavlik, 69, died Sunday, May 1, 2022. A lifelong Hampton resident, he retired from Papco Oil Co. in 2016 after more than 30 years of service. His love for working with wood prompted him to form Fox Hill Woodworks and he created many beautiful pieces. A very creative, artistic and funny person, he always put his family first. He was a loving father who never missed one of his sons’ ballgames and brought donuts to his grandchildren every Sunday. He was very organized and enjoyed gardening and made his own pickles and canned his own green beans. While always professional, he could be outspoken and opinionated when the need arose.

Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela P. Pavlik, his parents, Peter and Matilda Pavlik, and his siblings, Christine Kanaday and Michael Pavlik. Survivors include his children, Paul Pavlik (Kristal) and Alan Pavlik (Emily); his grandchildren, Kenzi, Brice, Davin, Peter, Harper, Maddox, and Lincoln; his brothers, John Pavlik (Carol), Andrew Pavlik (Lorraine), and Martin Pavlik (Cheryl); his sister, Mary Mayer (Kirk); his loving life partner and fiancée, Jeani Nichols; a sister-in-law, Carol Pavlik; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2022 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel.

Memorials may be made to Phoebus Little League, 4 N. Curry Street, Hampton, VA 23663.
