HARRY E. ALLEN
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Harry Elisha Allen, 42, a native of Hampton,
died Sunday, May 9. He was an executive with MCI Telecommunications
and was a 1969 graduate of Kecoughtan High School in Hampton.
Mr. Allen received his bachelor's degree from San Francisco State
University and his master's from the University of California-Berkley.
Survived by his mother, Dora Ruth Allen of Hampton; two sisters,
Jerri McMannis of Jonesboro, Ga., and Brenda Allen of New York City;
and a brother, Larry R. Allen of Poquoson. Funeral services will be
private. Arrangements by Rapp Funeral Home, Silver Spring, Md.

Harry Allen was one of my favorite boys, he was in my 7th grade class at Syms and was always funny and so smart. After we moved up to KHS, we stayed connected because I was a "B" and he was an "A" and we were usually assigned to the same homeroom. Lost touch after graduation, but when I saw that he had passed away, it made me feel so very sad. He was always so full of energy, just didn't seem right that he would be taken so early. Just happy that I got to know him and enjoy those fun, youthful things about him.
