THOMAS D. HARRELL
     
HAMPTON - Thomas Daniel Harrell, 42, died Saturday, Dec. 15, in 
Sentara Hampton General Hospital.
Mr. Harrell was a native and longtime resident of Hampton. He 
retired in September 1989 after 19 years in the Department of Works
with the City of Hampton. He was a member of the Loyal Order of
Moose, Hampton Lodge No. 1119.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn D. Harrell; his parents, Virginia
T. and John H. Harrell, Sr. of Hampton; two sisters, Barbara Drake and
Sharon Martin, both of Hampton; and two brothers, John H. Harrell Jr.
and James P. Harrell, both of Hampton.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon on Tuesday in Lawrence 
B. Wood  Funeral Home by the Rev. John Ellington.  Burial will be in
Parklawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of
contributions to Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospitals, in care of 
Khedive Temple, 243 West Freemason Ave., Norfolk 24514.
