Lindholm II , James Roland

Jul 21, 1951 - Sep 3, 2024

James "Jim" Lindholm died peacefully at him home in Schertz, Texas on September 3, 2024. Jim was born July 21, 1951 in Junction City, Kansas to James Roland Lindholm and Marguerite Lindholm. He married Sharon in 1973. He then went on to raise his two children, go to school, and work as a police officer for Texas A&M University. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1988 with his Bachelor degree in History. He then became a Sergeant Detective only to retire in 2006 after 26 years. He then went on to become a State Fire Marshall and retired after 6 years. He was also a 2001 graduate of the FBI National Academy.

Jim was a well-respected police officer for many years. He was so proud to be intercal part of the community. Jim lived life to the fullest. He was a man of many words and loved to tell stories. He loved to smile and laugh. He loved to read. He was handy and could fix just about anything. But overall, his family was his number one pride and joy.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife Sharon, his brother Gregory, his father James and his mother Marguerite. He is survived by his wife Susan Lindholm, his son James R. Lindholm III and his wife Katy Lindholm, his daughter Patricia C. Smith, and his grandchildren Gavyn Moore, Brayden Smith, Skye Smith, Ashlynn Smith and his great granddaughter Ava Moore. He is also survived by his brother-in-law David Ludwig.

Bonnie Bridger (Mittelmaier) (1969)

Such sorrowful news about the loss of Jim Lindholm.  He was such a great person.  Big heart.  Came to some of our reunions and we always had a fun time with him.  Devoted to Sharon and his family.  Great patriot.  As it happened after Sharon passed, Jim and Susan connected as classmates and then were married earlier this year.  So very sorry for his loss.  Condolences go to his family and to Susan.  If he could have been able, I know he would have attended this next reunion in October.

Until we meet again, Bonnie Bridger Mittelmaier '69
