HAMPTON - Barbara Jo Kelly, 53, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003. Born in Belleville, Ill., Barbara was a 1969 graduate of Kecoughtan High School and 48 year Hampton resident. She retired in 2001 as Hampton Main Public Library, senior library assistant and was a member of Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church. Barbara is survived by her parents, Charles E. and Frances L. Kelly of Hampton; sister, Karen K. Steele and husband, Robert L. Steele, of Hampton; uncle, Jack Kelly of Belleville, Ill.; nieces, Rebekah, Hannah, Danielle and Hope Steele; nephews, Benjamin and Timothy Steele, all of Hampton. A funeral service will be conducted at noon Tuesday, Dec. 30, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home by the Rev. Jack Lynch. The family will receive friends before the service Tuesday from 11:00-12:00. Memorial contributions may be sent to a favorite charity.
