Cheryl Lockett Kelsey, 51, died Tuesday, Aug 21, 2001, at the Casy House Hospice in Rockville, MD., after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was a native of Hampton, VA and was of the Baptist faith.

Cheryl was a Registered Nurse, having graduated from Stuart Circle School of Nursing in Richmond, VA.  She also completed classes at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.

Mrs. Kelsey did nursing in Washington Co. Hospital in Hagerstown, MD. Her last place of employment was at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Shady Grove, MD.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Master Chief (Retired) John Francis Kelsey, who also died at Casey House on Oct 12, 2000.

She is survived by her parents, Master Sgt (retired) David W. Lockett Sr. and Dorothy Napier Lockett; her brother, David W. Lockett Jr. and his wife, Priscilla.  Chgeryl is also survived by her two nephews, Christopher D. Lockett and David P. Lockett, as well as Christopher's son, Christopher Gage, and a daughter, Shelby Nicole.

Cheryl will join John in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
