RAYMOND STEVEN WEBB
December 9, 1947 - December 17, 2018
Raymond Steven Webb, 71, of Newport News, Virginia passed away on December 17, 2018 in Asheville, North Carolina. He was born on December 9, 1947 to Melvin L. Webb and Nova Battiste Webb in Windber, Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Gene Webb and Richard Leroy Webb.
Raymond served in the US Navy for over 35 years and worked for the US Government for over 30 years.
Raymond is survived by his partner of 25 years, Linda Guthrie; children, Rachael Violette of Arden, North Carolina, Scott Webb (Kellie) of Eleanor, West Virginia, and Ian Webb of Newport News, Virginia; sisters, Beverly Webb, Donna L. Parker, and Frances Webb, all of La Belle, Florida; brothers, Bobby Webb of La Belle, Florida, and Jerry Webb(Nancy) and Sandy Webb(Wanda) of Hampton, Virginia; nineteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; good friends, Lawrence Brown and Norman Violette; and Linda’s sons, Bobby and wife Jeannine and Shawn Guthrie.
A service will be announced at a later date.

Bonnie Bridger (Mittelmaier) (1969)
I was so very surprised to learn that Ray had passed away in December. Apparently, he had moved to NC and had been ill. The last time I saw Ray was when he was part of our KHS 45th & 46th Reunion Committee and after the reunion was over, we lost touch. We will remember his smile and his helpful attitude. Prayers for comfort and peace for his family.

George Allen (1968)
I was saddened to hear of Ray's passing. Although we weren't close, I do remember his smile, winning attitude and warm personality. I always enjoyed our brief conversations whether it was in the hallways or cafeteria.
