YORKTOWN - Michael Duane Yamamoto, 57, a resident of York County, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006. He was currently employed by Middle Peninsula - Northern Neck Community Service Board, where he loved and trusted his colleagues and worked as a substance abuse counselor for the last seven years. He loved to bake and shared his creations with everyone. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Tetsuo Yamamoto and Alice Hata Yamamoto, and is survived by his brother, Dennis P. Yamamoto and his wife, Nan F. Meadows, of Newport News; a niece, Mia T. Yamamoto of San Francisco, Calif.; and many other friends and family in California. All services will be private.
