I first met Ricky at Benjamin Syms Jr. HS and he was one of my very best friends through junior high school. We shared many, many happy and crazy youthful times and memories, Willis dances, summers at Buckroe, school events and adventures. I last saw Ricky about 8 years ago and we had the best time catching up after all of these many years. He reminded me of so many things I had forgotten. I loved him like a brother. I will always remember his unforgettable laugh and big old grin. I pray that Ricky is up in heaven sharing some stories with those that have gone before us and living in glory and peace. Till we meet again, Ricky, I will always cherish the fact that you were a dear friend to me.

This is such sad news.  So many nostalgic memories came rushing back to me when I found out about Ricky's passing.  He was in my 7th grade class at Syms.  He was so funny, and he kept us all laughing.  I especially remember how much fun we had in Mr. Fulton's math class, and how much Ricky loved Jade East.  He was so handsome, and I had a secret crush on him.  I hadn't seen him since he was a teenager, but I thought of him often.
