Georgia Lynn Ellis
HAMPTON - Georgia Lynn Ellis, 62, died Thursday, January 2, 2014. A native of Pittsylvania County, she was a longtime Hampton resident and graduated from Kecoughtan High School in 1969. Preceded in death by her husband, James D. Ellis, Sr.; survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Lynn Ellis and her step-son, James David Ellis, Jr. She will also be missed by her beloved dog, Bella. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 7, 2014 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel by Dr. Jay Russ. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.

This is indeed a very sad way to begin a new year. I did not know Georgia at KHS but still I feel sorrow at her passing. Prayers to her family and her friends and may she rest in peace and not be forgotten.
