Nancy Leas Magulias

I graduated from MCV/VCU in occupational therapy
in 1974. Went out to Oregon and Colorado to do my internships then met up with Pam Hathaway in
central Washington. We got a little cabin and thinned, picked and packed fruit for awhile. I got tired of being poor and my parents talked me into coming back east and getting a "real" job.

Moved to Savannah, Georgia in 1976 and took a position as head of the OT Dept. at Candler General Hospital. 2 years later went into private practice and opened Savannah Hand Center. I had a fantastic career treating severe upper extremity injuries for 20 years. I married a good looking Greek guy in 1991 and we opened a restaurant called Toucan Cafe in 1994. In 1996 we adopted two beautiful babies (at the tender age of 45!) By then I had to close my hand center and concentrate on raising my children. On Sept. 10, 2001 (yes, the day before the attack) we opened a restaurant called Sweet Potatoes. Both are doing great but very hard to run.

Our desire is to sell Toucan Cafe and move back to VA! We want to buy an old farm house with acreage and open a Sweet Potatoes in the closest small town. Hey! Maybe that will happen by the time of the reunion! Keep us in your prayers!
We also bought an old house on the marsh, gutted, remodeled and rent it out as a vacation house. It's on VRBO #90338. I just tell that because it's pretty and I'm kinda proud of it.

My dad passed away in 1999 and we miss him very much. My mom and sisters are doing great.
Mom and Martha live in Richmond and Mary lives in NYC. We get together as often as possible.

Can't wait to see everyone at the reunion! I have plenty of time to lose weight! LOL!

I just wanted to say how much fun I had at the reunion, aside from sleeping away the entire Friday night event! My mom told me not to lie down at 7:00 pm, but I did anyway. Too bad I didn't arrange for a wake-up call! The reunion comm. did such a fantastic job, and we are all so blessed to have people like that who are willing to work so hard for us. Can't wait for the next one!
I think we should have some kind of party in two years when we all (1969) turn 60! Bonnie would say, go ahead and plan it, Nancy!
