Attended VT but lost student deferment and joined USMC reserves. Was hired by C&P Telephone and was going back to school in 2 months, but stayed at telco for 38 years, retired and went to Fort Monroe as a telephone contractor. Married for nearly 37 years amazingly, have a daughter and 2 grand daughters.

Trainer for basketball team. Used to give 6-1 Howie White and 6-7 Hurley Freeman rides home from practice in a 1961 VW
