Coach John Kolley

After graduating from college (Miami University) in 1967, my wife and I moved to Hampton where she had lived during one of her father’s military assignments. Mr. Szetela had offered me a job coaching and teaching at KHS, and although we were only in Hampton 3 years, it was a great beginning to a 34 year career in education. We moved back to Ohio to attend graduate school at Miami University, and I then continued teaching, coaching, and later became an athletic director, assistant principal, and principal before retiring. After leaving education, I spent several years as a case manager for the Department of Veteran Affairs in Dayton, Ohio.
Jamie and I moved to Florida in 2000. We live in a small town on the west coast about 60 miles north of Tampa.

Happy 50th Anniversary
